Secrets of a long-term relationship.
- Don’t lose your trust to each other. Trusting is one way of saying: “I am giving everything to you even if I have no assurance at all.” If it is once broken, give him/her a chance to put it back again. Everyone deserves a second chance.
- If you can’t be faithful, just be loyal. If you get attracted to someone, make sure that it won’t last a long time. Remember, you are committed. You may have crushes but your heart must belong to only one. Just one.
- Whatever challenges may come your way, never ever give up. Breaking up is not a way to solve your problems. If things can be fixed, let it be. But not because you cannot fix it, it doesn’t mean it’s time to give up. Always remember that, there are some things that need time but not distance. If you are really in love, you will find even the smallest chance just to make everything alright.
- Act like best friends. Being comfortable with the one you love is one of the best feelings in the world. It gives you the reason not to let go because you share with him the things you cannot express with others. The way he/she listens when you’re speaking is very different than that of others.
- Understanding plays a major role in a relationship. You have to understand every detail of the situation. Be open minded. See both sides. Don’t make little things, big deal. Whatever he/she says, listen to it. It is what he/she feels. It’s like, don’t get mad if he’s mad. Instead, listen to him. When he’s done, it’s time for you to do what he wants. Kiss him, hug him, make him feel that you’re really sorry and say how much you love him. (Vice versa) Just give and take.
- Forgive each other. You are not perfect. It is one way of saying: I vow love you for who you are and I am ready to embrace your imperfections.
- Efforts mean a lot. Never get tired of giving efforts to the one you love. It gives him/her the feeling that he/she is too important to let go. In addition, big or small efforts, you must appreciate it. Appreciation is one way of showing you love him/her.
- Keep in your mind all the reasons why you’re still holding. Remember the things that make you fall in love with him/her, the reason why the word temptation doesn’t mean anything, the fact that no one can kiss and hug you more than she/he does and no one can make you fall in love the way he/she does.
This kind of love takes courage. If you are truly in love, no hindrance can make you stop. If you really want something, you will do everything just to have it.
